Downloads not showing on android box

(Android) Downloaded file not showing up anywhere on file manager, but still taking up HD space. I downloaded a file through a third party application and it is not showing up in the downloads folder like everything else that is downloaded, yet there is still hard drive space being taken up by the file. Have a T95Q (with 2 USB ports) Android tv box. I run Kodi I can write/save a download to the T95Q box but, although I can see the USB when I set up the path for an addon download, and the addons will give an indication that the download is working including the % completed and then a "Download Complete " message.
